About the role: We’re looking for a dedicated and caring KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive, friendly, and inspiring school community in Havering. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children in Key Stage 2, helping with core subjects, booster sessions, and interventions to assist students who need extra support. Working closely with classroom teachers, you’ll be a vital part of the team, helping to create an inclusive and positive environment for every child. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with pupils across a range of abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs, to help them thrive academically and socially.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in a primary school setting.
• A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and commitment to promoting inclusion.
• Passion for working with children, patience, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and creatively within a supportive team.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning and delivery of targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy for KS2 students.
• Support students individually or in small groups, focusing on boosting confidence and engagement.
• Provide one-on-one support for students with additional learning needs, helping them stay on track.
• Collaborate with teachers to create a dynamic, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress to the teaching team, helping to tailor support as needed.
