Application Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should:
• Have previous experience working in an ARP setting or with SEN students in a school environment.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of supporting children with ASD and other SEN needs.
• Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different learning styles.
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Work closely with students with ASD and a range of additional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically and socially.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering a differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
• Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Use effective behavior management strategies to support students with complex needs.
• Collaborate with the school’s dedicated SEN team, therapists, and families to create personalised learning plans.
