Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School in Wolverhampton
Start Date: October 2024
Contract: Full-time (with potential for long-term/permanent)

Role Overview:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and provide tailored support for each child.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with SEN in a one-to-one or group setting.
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
Adapt materials and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
Help with personal care, emotional, and social development when needed.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children with SEN (essential).
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative.
