Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role: Are you a dedicated and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with challenging behaviours? Join a dynamic team in Cheshunt as an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in managing and improving the behaviours of students requiring additional support. This full-time, long-term role offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils.

Application Requirements:
• Has experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours.• Demonstrates knowledge of SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).• Has excellent communication and de-escalation skills.• Is adaptable, empathetic, and ready to tackle everyday challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with challenging behaviours.• Assist the class teacher in implementing behaviour management strategies.• Work closely with the SENCO to develop and deliver individual learning plans.• Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting emotional and social well-being.• Keep detailed records of student progress and challenges to inform tailored interventions.
