About the Role

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join an amazing team as a Youth Support Worker in a dynamic and supportive school setting.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in fostering the personal, social, and emotional development of students, working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored support to those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and group support to students, addressing emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, counsellors, and parents to develop strategies that enhance student well-being and engagement.
* Facilitate and deliver targeted interventions and workshops on topics such as resilience, self-esteem, and conflict resolution.
* Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour within the school community.
* Monitor and record progress, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to safeguarding policies.
* Support students during transitions, including between year groups or when returning to education after absences.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or social care setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
* Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner.
Desirable Skills:
* Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, or education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Experience delivering group workshops or interventions.
* Knowledge of mental health and well-being practices for young people.
