We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with primary aged students with various needs that are SLD/complex. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills. If you have patience, creativity, and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils, we would love to hear from you!

You will be working with skilled Teachers and SEN Teaching Assistant’s in a classroom environment The SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
Promote pupil’s independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures
Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environmentThe SEN Teaching Assistant Applicant
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant applicant will be have the following qualities:

Will have experience working with students with with various SEN needs
Sensitivity and understanding, to help build good relationships with pupils
