Recruitment Officer – Chertsey, Surrey
Job Type: Full Time
Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN
Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday – Some weekend work needed. Fixed term 12-month contract – Onsite
Salary: £26,000 – £27,783
Department Summary:
Looking to join The Home of Feel-Good Thrills? In this role, you will be working within a close-knit team of 10 that includes HR, Recruitment and Learning & Development under the People Team banner.
As the Recruitment Officer, you will be crucial in ensuring the organisation of our bulk hiring events, through to the hiring of our seasonal employees that keep Thorpe Park operating effectively. You will work closely with our departments across the site, whether that would be the Rides team or Entertainments, all the way to Warehouse and Site Presentation. You will have an impact on every corner of the park. As with anywhere, we are always looking at continuous improvement to our current processes and this role will have a very real hand in the positive changes to the candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with other members of the people team on the orginisation of bulk hiring events
- Hosting bulk hiring events:
- Taking Proof of Right and checking candidates in
- Completing contracts for successful candidates
- Aiding on candidates onboarding
- Completing other administrative tasks
- Ensuring a concise interview process and great candidate experience.
- Writing jobs adverts and initiating requisitions on our ATS
- Working with Department Managers on their hiring numbers and taking on the full recruitment cycle of permanent roles.
- Sourcing and promoting
- Screening candidates
- Headhunting
- Collaborating with the marketing team on promotional recruitment assets
- Working with the wider people team on best practices and changes in relevant legislation.
- Documenting processes commonly used and refining
- Attending events and being a brand ambassador
- Developing relationships with local schools, colleges, universities and organisations.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities to help in the park when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience working within recruitment – Internal or in agency
- Hands on experience working within an ATS
- Competent using Microsoft Office products
- Comfortable with various sourcing techniques (Boolean searches, x-ray searches, etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proven experience on collecting data and making data driven decisions
- Experience attending events is preferred but not essential

This role is a full-time role, averaging 40 hours per week. Although this is largely a Monday-Friday role, due to the nature of the business this will include weekends, bank holidays and some late evenings as required.
