SEN Teaching Assistant: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in SEMH to join a warm, inclusive primary school in Enfield. This part-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to support and empower students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. As an SEN TA with expertise in SEMH, you will play a pivotal role in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

SEN TA Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in a school setting.

• A strong understanding of SEMH strategies and behavior management techniques.

• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

.• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and well-being.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities: As an SEN TA, you will:

• Building strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage their personal growth and self-confidence

.• Supporting individual students or small groups with tailored interventions to meet their specific SEMH needs

.• Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior strategies.

• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create a consistent and effective support network.

• Providing feedback and progress reports to help inform teaching and learning approaches.
