Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 Childcare)
Are you passionate about working with children and supporting their development in a school setting? We are looking for a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 Childcare qualification to join our friendly and supportive primary school team in Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities
Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports children’s emotional and social well-being.
Support classroom organisation and management, including preparing resources.
Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils achieve their potential.
Supervise children during break times, outings, and activities.
Work collaboratively with the teaching team and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements
Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
