We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our Savings Team. Working with an experienced team, the successful candidate will be methodical and detail oriented and will learn how to process member transactions.

Taking a logical approach to problem solving and remaining focused, the Business Administration Apprentice will support all savings related processes including ensuring that the appropriate paperwork is completed for notifications of death and power of attorney. They will learn how to process ISA transfers, cheque administration and customer requests including account amendments and transacting.

It’s essential that the successful candidate has a good basic understanding of arithmetic and is able to complete basic mathematical calculations as the role will involve reconciling transactions and submitting returns to the Finance department. The Business Administration Apprentice will also learn how to calculate interest adjustments and process and verify standing orders, direct debits, and ad-hoc BACs payments.

The successful candidate will also need to share the Marsden Building Society passion for outstanding personal service. The Business Administration Apprentice will learn how to take calls from our members and support them with their enquiries.

Reporting to the Savings Manager, this is an exciting opportunity that would suit someone with good mathematical ability, excellent attention to detail and a desire to work in Financial Services. Previous administration experience is highly desirable. Candidates must have a good standard of general education (including GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above). The qualification on offer is a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.

This role is advertised on a full-time basis, working a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm at our Head office in Nelson.
