Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Southampton (SEN School)
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience) – £90-£100 per day
Contract: Full-Time (Term-Time Only)
Experience: Ideal, but not essential

About the Role:

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team at a thriving SEN school in Southampton. This full-time, term-time position offers the opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and make a real difference in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN.

* Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.

* Help students engage with their lessons, providing guidance and support where required.

* Assist with positive behaviour management in the classroom and during school activities.

* Work closely with teaching staff and professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.

* Monitor and track student progress, sharing feedback with teachers and parents.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience in SEN is ideal, but not essential – we welcome candidates who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

* A patient, compassionate nature with a positive attitude towards children with diverse needs.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* A willingness to learn and develop within the role.

* A genuine interest in working with children who have needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and learning disabilities.
