Metal Control Finance Assistant

They provide a range of services such as bespoke manufacturing, stampings, and precious metal scrap refining. They are a pioneering force in the additive manufacturing industry, specialising in precious metal 3D printing for the jewellery, aerospace, medical and automotive sectors.

They are looking for a detail-orientated metal control finance assistant to support the Metal Control team, with the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions relating to precious metals. You will ensure that their finance systems reflect the physical and paper metal balances, preparing reports and maintaining and updating spreadsheets.

Your duties will include

– Ensuring the system/business coverage, pricing and payments/receipts requirements are fully understood and maintained to the highest standards

– The process of closing fixes, processing bullion coverage with banks, arranging payments and ensuring receipts of funds are fully documented and actioned to agreed timescales

– Ensuring that metal transfers between customers, other group companies and banks are processed timely and effectively to ensure that balances accurately reflect the current position

– Conduct regular reconciliations of metal inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies

– Liaise with banks and other suppliers for delivery of bullion products

To succeed in this role, you will need to have proven experience in reconciliation/bank systems and processes and in bookkeeping. An understanding of accounting processes, ledgers and banking systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You should have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
