Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor – Late shift
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £29,712 per annum

Working Hours

  • Monday – Friday: 4.00pm- 12.30am Shift
  • 40 hours per week
  • Daily 30-minute unpaid break
  • After 40 hours- OT is paid at 1.5

Job Summary

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for managing your shift and supervising Assistant Supervisors & Operatives within your team. You will ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse, focusing on quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure the quality, qualifications, and experience of all team members are appropriate for their roles.
  • Oversee the health and safety of the team and ensure compliance with operational health and safety policies.
  • Record and report accidents in line with company policy.
  • Maintain warehouse service levels while keeping costs at a minimum.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Warehouse Manager on team performance and efficiency’s.
  • Promote good behaviours, motivate, mentor, and train staff to maximise productivity.
  • Effectively manage under performing staff in line with company guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably expected of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Computer literate with knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Understanding of legal requirements in warehouse operations.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting.
  • IOSH qualification is an advantage.
  • FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and delegate.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to implement positive changes to processes.
  • Strong team player.

FLT Qualifications

  • FLT Licence (Preferred)
