Administrator Required Barnsley

£12.18 per hour

Ongoing Contract

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 08.30am to 5.00pm

A Basic DBS check is required for this role or willing to obtain one.

The Job Purpose as an Administrator will be working within the Adoption & Fostering Team. They will be required to manage mailboxes and deal with medical / stat checks as well as other admin duties. Minute taker will also be required where Foster carers / Adoptive parents as well as professional parties in attendance, therefore a professional service is required.

Administration Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Level 2 NVQ or 3 GCSES Grade C or above.
  • An awareness and understanding of the role of business support team.
  • An understanding of what makes excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of good practices for handling confidential data
  • Time management skills including the ability to prioritise individual workload and to adhere to agree deadlines and targets
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability I build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Experience of using office software such as Microsoft packages
  • Experience of updating and maintaining records.

The Job Role:

  • Dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries
  • General filing, storing of information and other office duties
  • Administration duties such as word processing and data input (experience with Excel essential)
  • Assist with the completion of returns
  • Carrying out other duties as required by the service
  • Taking Minutes in meetings
