The Facilities Management team manages a portfolio of properties. This service provides support and guidance to managers of services including office waste disposal, grounds maintenance, accommodation management as well as the provision of technical advice.
Salary: £26,409 to £27,711 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Location: Your base location will either be Clapham Depot, (Clapham Common, Clapham, Worthing BN13 3UR) or County Hall North, (Madeira Ave, Horsham RH12 1AB) or County Hall North, Madeira Ave, Horsham RH12 1AB with the requirement to work on occasion at Crawley Library (Southgate Ave, Crawley RH10 6HG)

About the job
We have two exciting roles available, one will be based Clapham Depot, Worthing and another at County Hall North, Horsham serving as vital points of contact across the county. Final arrangements will be agreed with the successful candidates.
As a Facilities Support Officer, you will be part of a supportive team managing maintenance and compliance at County Council buildings, ensuring a safe environment for staff and customers.
You will manage helpdesk jobs and calls, using your initiative and judgment to decide how best to respond and ensure they are assigned to the correct service.
Reporting to the Facilities Management Helpdesk Manager, you will provide advice, resolve a range of customer enquires via Concerto (automated response system) and emails. You will confidently record all customer queries to ensure that they are dealt with efficiently. You will also provide administrative support to the local area facilities team undertaking tasks on behalf of the Area Facilities Manager

About you
This role is office based and will involve frequent phone calls. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, communicating on several different levels with multiple stakeholders and adapting your style accordingly.
With a customer focussed approach, you will be a strong problem solver, be a team player and have understanding and appreciation of the need to maintain essential building services and security. You will be familiar with and able to use Microsoft Applications such as Word and Excel
