The Role
The Sales Ledger Clerk will be a key member of the finance team, ensuring the smooth management of the sales ledger while contributing to the overall financial efficiency of the business. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and gain exposure to a range of business functions in a fast-paced environment.
As a Sales Ledger Clerk, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the sales ledger, including issuing customer invoices and reconciling accounts.
- Processing customer payments and allocating them to the correct accounts.
- Performing credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
- Liaising with customers to answer queries regarding invoices and payments.
- Supporting the month-end process by preparing sales ledger reports.
- Assisting with general finance team duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar sales ledger or accounts receivable role and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues are essential.
What’s on Offer
The salary for this position is between £26,000 and £28,000, with a competitive benefits package, including a flexible working model (3 days in-office and 2 days remote). This role offers significant scope for professional development and progression within the business.
