Pay- £12.90 per hour or £83.85 per day

At Teaching Personnel, we are working with a specialist provision in Bridgend for pupils between the ages of 7-19 that provides education for pupils aged 7 to 19 years old with complex Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) including Autism alongside specific learning difficulties and other additional learning needs.

The role of a Behaviour support assistant is to work along side pupils whether on a 1-to-1 or general basis to assist through learning and also in extracurricular activities. The school follows the national Wesh Curriculum so a general knowledge of how the education system and essential lessons in necessary. You do not need to require educational experience but a knowledge and understanding of additional needs is essential to success.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic attitude with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
