We are on the lookout for a Team Leader to join a small, friendly team for a well established Company. This will be a busy, hands on role, so please don’t expect to sit behind a desk all day!
About the Warehouse Team Leader role:
* The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4.30pm
* Salary is £28K per annum
* Own transport is required due to location
Duties for the Warehouse Team Leader role:
* Working closely with the Operations Manager you will be managing / assisting with a busy fulfilment team to ensure all orders are completed correctly and on time
* Plan / organise the workload for the Warehouse Operatives
* Monitor and assist with daily replenishment requirements, ensuring the team have enough resources to complete their work adequately
* Record staff development using individual training records
* Overall stock management, ensuring stock is replenished into the Warehouse when there is adequate space
* Assist in process evaluation and improvement planning to support stock integrity initiatives.
* Make suggestions for improved warehouse layout/footprint ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and any other local legislative compliance.
* Assist in training staff where appropriate
* Hold daily meetings with the team to ensure everyone is aware of the daily priority and instill motivation
* Willingness to flex hours with regards to the requirements of role.
* Ensure the site is clean and tidy and H&S is always adhered to
* Ensuring Warehouse equipment is maintained in-line with safety procedure and policy, scheduling maintenance checks of equipment Complying with H&S regulations in all aspect
Experience / skillsets required for the Warehouse Team Leader role:
* Experience of working in a fast paced, warehouse / fulfilment environment
* IT competent with a good level of knowledge within MS Excel
* A forklift Licence would be beneficial or willingness to undertake training
* Capable of working from own initiative whilst also following process and procedure
* Good attention to detail and a good finisher
* Willing to learn & positive attitude
