Paychology Graduate Role

Location: Specialist School in Nuneaton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Salary: £425 – £450 per week
Contract: Temporary, with potential for permanent placement

Teaching Personnel are seeking Psychology Graduates to work as teaching assistants in an independent specialist school situated in Nuneaton, catering to children and young people aged 11 to 17. The institution is dedicated to providing outstanding education to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), often accompanied by social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will:

Provide Individualised Support: Offer one-on-one and group assistance to students with ASC, tailoring your approach to meet diverse learning needs.

Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with teachers to implement personalized learning plans, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.

Promote Emotional Well-being: Assist in creating a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere, addressing the social and emotional needs of students.

Encourage Independence: Support students in developing life skills, fostering confidence, and promoting self-reliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.

Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition and associated educational strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in an educational or caregiving setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
A full UK driving license (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
