Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing
Sittingbourne | Up to £28,500
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company, seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production efficiency and quality. This role is ideal for someone with experience in machine setting, maintenance, and working within a factory or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set and maintain production machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
* Support machine operators to help them meet efficiency targets and quality standards.
* Attend to machinery breakdowns and assist with troubleshooting (non-electrical).
* Carry out inspections at various production stages to ensure high-quality output.
* Perform final inspections, recording scrap, rework, and production data.
* Maintain tooling, consumables, and spare parts stock levels.
* Ensure products meet hygiene and safety standards.
* Follow lean principles to improve efficiency and minimise waste.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in an engineering, maintenance, or machine setting role.
* Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment.
* Mechanical or maintenance-based apprenticeship (desirable).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
