Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and compliant workplace and services? We are seeking a proactive, organised and detail-orientedAssistant Health and Safety Advisorto join our team – someone to support the implementation and monitoring of Stonewaters health and safety programme.

In this role you will

  • Coordinate our DSE compliance programme.
  • Support occupational health programmes relating to workplace injuries and personal risk assessments.
  • Support the incident management programme including conduct initial investigations, collecting information and escalate complex cases.
  • Coordinate risk assessments and compliance audits.
  • Deliver workshops to support learning.
  • Oversee the lone worker safety programme.
  • Organise health and safety committees and their administration.
  • Maintain documentation & information pages
  • Assist with financial administration and support insurance claims.
  • Accurately maintain health and safety data maintaining GDPR requirements.

The role contributes to the overall safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customers and contractors, ensuring Stonewater provides a safe and secure environment. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, youll provide first line advice and support to teams across the business and ensure timely communication of health and safety information.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working within social housing or similar environment.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation, compliance, and best practices.
  • Have NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Have experience managing data and producing management information for reports.
  • Be familiar with health and safety systems (e.g., My Compliance).
  • Have experience coordinating risk assessments management programmes.
  • Have strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Be proficient in IT systems, including advanced use of Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Have attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and data.
  • Be able to deliver training and provide coaching to Colleagues and managers.
  • Be analytically minded, capable of identifying trends and gaps in systems and compliance data.

Some travel may be required.
