Role Overview. Why Join us:
To undertake water or fire damage and accidental damage restoration projects (cleaning, drying, and sanitising as appropriate), ensuring customers receive excellent service whilst managing claims costs and expenses within the scope of the insurance policy.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities – What you will do:
- Effectively follow instructions from and work closely with First Response Technicians and/or Team Leaders
- Maintain excellent communications with policyholders and any other relevant individuals.
- Participate in onsite cleaning, installation and monitoring of drying equipment following fire or water damage and other perils.
- Ensure that all documents, photographs, and communications are accurately recorded.
- Participate in triage assessments and reporting.
- Work within the team to ensure that the restoration is progressed efficiently.
- Maintain safe working conditions in line with Health & Safety requirements, regardless of location.
- Ensure that all company property is kept clean, tidy, and maintained to the correct safety standards.
- Wear corporately identified clothing provided as required by the business.
- Undertake any training or CPD or as required by the business.
- Work on an on call or shift-based rota ensuring business needs are met.
- Carry out any other reasonable supervisor’s instruction.
Person Specification
Experience / knowledge
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of the Insurance claims process (desirable).
- Previous experience within damage restoration (desirable).
Skills required
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work within a team and with a wide variety of customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- PC literate with good administrative skills.
- Ability to take direction and responsibility when necessary.
