Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant

Position: Part-time
Are you passionate about early literacy and skilled in teaching phonics to young learners? We are seeking a dedicated Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team, leading small group interventions across Reception to Year 2 classes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Phonics Intervention: Lead and deliver targeted phonics interventions to small groups of pupils from EYFS and KS1.
• Support & Progress: Monitor and support pupils’ progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Requirements:
• Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
• Experience: Proven experience in teaching phonics, particularly within EYFS and KS1 settings.
• Passion for Literacy: A strong commitment to improving literacy outcomes for young learners.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on working collaboratively with staff and students.
