Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Camden
Salary: £90-£100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team in Camden. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students, helping them overcome challenges and succeed both academically and socially.
Responsibilities of the SEN TA:
Offer tailored support to students with SEMH, helping them manage their emotions and behaviour within the classroom.
Collaborate with teachers to deliver individualised learning plans that suit each student’s needs.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage students to engage with the curriculum.
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where students feel understood and respected.
Track and report on student progress, contributing to their emotional and academic development.
Requirements of the SEN TA:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH is essential.
A strong understanding of the challenges SEMH can present to learning and development.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to form positive, supportive relationships with students.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students and provide a tailored approach to support.
Relevant qualifications in special education, childcare, or a related field (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with other professionals.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
