Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Nursery (Standish, Wigan, WN6)

The Role:

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Nursery setting in Standish (WN6). This is a full-time role starting from Easter 2025 and will run until July 2025, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general classroom support, including 1:1 assistance for children with SEND
Work alongside the Early Years Class Teacher to create a safe and nurturing learning environment
Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
Help to prepare and maintain indoor and outdoor learning spaces
What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

A Level 2 qualification in childcare
GCSEs (A-C / 9-4) in Maths and English
Previous experience working in Nursery or Early Years settings (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
