SEN Teaching Assistant – Southwark – Full-Time
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? We are an education recruitment agency seeking a committed individual to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive school in Southwark.
Role Overview:
* Full-time position in a Southwark-based school
* Supporting students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and PMLD
* Assisting with classroom activities, personal care (if comfortable), and behaviour management
* Working closely with teachers and SENCO to support students’ learning and development
* Using de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour
Requirements:
✔ Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
✔ Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or PMLD
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
✔ A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
