Outsourcing Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Develop technical expertise through on-the-job training and formal qualifications.
  • Utilize accounting software to provide accurate reporting for management, partners, and clients.
  • Prepare and produce reconciled management information for clients, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Prepare basic tax computations and returns, including corporation tax.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
  • Prepare working papers, including bank reconciliations, VAT reconciliations, and other control account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts and finalizing accounts under the guidance of a manager.

About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have at least 1 year of UK practice experience in an outsourcing team. Ideally, you are AAT qualified and looking to work towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualifications.

Additionally, we are seeking someone who is:

  • A proactive self-starter with a strong ability to build positive client relationships and collaborate internally.
  • Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to handle a variety of clients within tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Able to apply technical accounting knowledge to practical client scenarios.
  • Familiar with UK GAAP and ideally IFRS.
  • Proficient in IT, especially Xero and Excel, with a willingness to learn new software quickly.
  • Knowledge of Sage and CCH is a plus.
