A specialist school in Chippenham are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their friendly team, supporting primary and secondary-age pupils in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role:
Based in a small classroom of 8 children, working closely with the teacher, fellow support staff and therapists.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students develop communication, independence, and learning skills.
Supporting children with emotional regulation and social skills, helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
Using a range of therapeutic strategies such as PECS, Makaton, sensory play, and structured learning techniques.
Working alongside experienced professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists – a fantastic opportunity to build experience in the field!Why this Role?
