Behaviour Buddy – Worthing, West Sussex
- Location: Worthing, West Sussex
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Are you passionate about supporting children with severe special needs? We are seeking a caring and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a welcoming school in Worthing. In this role, you’ll provide vital support to children with a range of needs, including autism and complex medical requirements such as tube feeding (training provided).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support, ensuring every child feels valued and included.
- Assist with daily care and medical needs, including tube feeding where necessary.
- Work closely with the teaching and SEN team to create an engaging learning environment.
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs.
- Support the development of social and communication skills through positive interaction.
- Monitor progress and collaborate with staff to achieve the best outcomes for students.
About You:
- Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential-training provided.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse needs.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviours and providing emotional support.
- A willingness to learn and take on medical support responsibilities.
- A strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children with special needs.
