Behaviour Buddy – Worthing, West Sussex

  • Location: Worthing, West Sussex
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Are you passionate about supporting children with severe special needs? We are seeking a caring and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a welcoming school in Worthing. In this role, you’ll provide vital support to children with a range of needs, including autism and complex medical requirements such as tube feeding (training provided).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support, ensuring every child feels valued and included.
  • Assist with daily care and medical needs, including tube feeding where necessary.
  • Work closely with the teaching and SEN team to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs.
  • Support the development of social and communication skills through positive interaction.
  • Monitor progress and collaborate with staff to achieve the best outcomes for students.

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential-training provided.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse needs.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviours and providing emotional support.
  • A willingness to learn and take on medical support responsibilities.
  • A strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children with special needs.
