Role Overview
As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This position will involve a mix of administrative and operational responsibilities, including recruitment support, employee record management, and assisting with HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews
* Maintaining and updating employee records in compliance with GDPR and company policies
* Preparing HR-related documents, such as contracts, offer letters, and onboarding packs
* Supporting payroll processing by ensuring accurate records of absences, new hires, and contract changes
* Assisting in the coordination of training and development programs
* Managing employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures
* Supporting the HR team in implementing initiatives related to employee engagement and workplace culture
* Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
Requirements
* Previous experience in an HR support role or relevant administrative position (desirable but not essential)
* A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with HR software
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn
