A well-established accountancy practice based in Malton is looking for a Part-Time Payroll Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a dynamic and supportive environment, offering a competitive salary of circa £24,000 to £27,000 (which can be flexible for the right individual), plus additional benefits. This role offers a lot of flexibility for the individual and can be done on a full-time, part-time or school-hours basis. As a Part-Time Payroll Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processes, working closely with the team to support the business with essential finance tasks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll accurately and on time.
Handling payroll queries and resolving discrepancies.
Maintaining employee records and updating payroll systems.
Supporting compliance with payroll regulations and procedures.
Assisting with other ad hoc finance tasks as needed.To be successful in this Part-Time Payroll Assistant role, you will ideally have:
Experience in payroll administration or a similar finance role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with payroll systems and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.We would be keen to speak with individuals who are currently in a Payroll Officer, Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Manager, Payroll Admin role or an Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, Finance Admin, Accounts Administrator role, where payroll processing or data entry is part of your role.
Based in Malton, this role is commutable from Scarborough, Filey, Sherburn, Pickering and surrounding areas, with parking available on-site.
