We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team this Easter, at a vibrant and well-established secondary school in Rochdale. This exciting role offers the opportunity to support students across a range of subjects, with a focus on Physical Education (PE) and sport-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the PE department in delivering engaging lessons, activities, and sports sessions for students of all ages.
Provide one-on-one and small group support for students, particularly those who may need additional guidance in physical activities.
Help plan and organise extracurricular sports events, clubs, and competitions.
Support teachers in classroom management and behavior management during PE lessons.
Encourage student participation in physical activities, promoting a positive attitude toward health and fitness.
Assist in preparing sports equipment and maintaining a safe and organized sports environment.
Contribute to school-wide events and activities, such as sports day and after-school clubs.
Requirements:
A degree in Sports Science, PE, or a related field.
A passion for sport, physical education, and working with young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or sports coaching environment (desirable but not essential).
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
