As part of the Worcester team this role will be responsible for manufacturing and welding components on equipment produced by the Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES Job specific responsibilities
· Identify manufacturing requirements. Source instructions/drawings required for task. Understand quality required. Select appropriate tools, materials, fixings. Identify and respond to assembly/component issues.
· Identify best method for assembling components. Identify most suitable methods, establish work requirements. Consider resources (e.g. equipment to be used). Ensure any equipment used is in a safe and competent manner. Operate machinery in a safe and competent manner. Ensure work environment is safe and tidy.
· Implement the assembly process. Undertake the agreed assembling process. Review any method changes. Respond to minor problems. Inform others if necessary. Ensure safe practices are upheld. Develop and maintain working relationships.
· Evaluate product assembly quality. Consider objective of task. Assess quality of assembly produced. Modify any minor discrepancies. Liaise with relevant departments/supervisors. Sign off documentation.
GENERAL
· The job holder will have a current driving licence
· Ability to be flexible and work outside core hours on occasion.
· Travel to other group sites and occasional overseas travel may be required.
· Must be able to work in the UK without restrictions & meet UK government security vetting criteria.
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE · TIG welding essential (coded preferred) · MIG welding essential (coded preferred) · MMA desirable. · Must be experienced as a fabricator, not just a welder · Ability to read technical drawings · Mechanical aptitude and interest · Ability to use manufacturing tools and equipment to perform tasks requiring precision (machine saw, hand saw, air rivet gun, hand drill, welding equipment etc.)
· Minimum experience in a similar role: 5 years · Must be eligible for UK security clearance.
