We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Driver in High Wycombe, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow.
The Role
As the Laundry Driver, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the department, as you will be the regular face of our company to customers when making collections and deliveries. This is an active role that involves handling multiple laundry bags and cages, loading and unloading them from company vehicles. You will be responsible for the daily maintenance and regular upkeep of the laundry vehicle, as well as reporting any faults to the Operations Manager. The Laundry Driver is expected to maintain a company-provided vehicle in a clean, safe, and well-maintained condition at all times.
The main duties include:
Transporting laundry between Sasse Laundry at our HQ Warehouse and client sites, ensuring timely collections and deliveries.
Loading and unloading laundry following correct procedures, maintaining safety and efficiency.·
Ensuring safe transport of all laundry and goods by securely loading and unloading items in the vehicle.
Accurately completing collection and delivery reports, including scanning laundry bag tags when applicable
Performing weekly vehicle checks, including fuel, AdBlue, oil, coolant, and other essential fluids, and completing vehicle check form
Carrying out regular interior and exterior cleaning of the vehicle, with additional cleaning as needed.
Keeping the vehicle in top condition, ensuring it is clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
Essential Requirements
Full UK car (B category) driving license held for a minimum of 2 years
Experience in driving large Vance/vehicles is preferable
Must be willing to have the company obtain an enhanced security clearance in order to obtain access to the client’s buildings for deliveries and collection of Laundry which will be paid for by the company.
Self-motivated with an eye for attention to detail, accountable, and able to make good decisions to benefit the team/outcome of the department.
