Chef De Partie – Dark Kitchen – Los Mochis Notting Hill

Bad Boy Burritos is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen in Notting Hill. Known for serving up bold, flavour-packed burritos and Mexican street food, Bad Boy Burritos is all about quality ingredients, vibrant flavours, and delivering an unforgettable food experience.

The Kitchen Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high standards across all aspects of the kitchen-from food execution and inventory management to hygiene compliance and team leadership. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader with a passion for food and an eye for detail to join an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Quality & Execution – Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Portion Control – Maintain strict portion control standards to guarantee consistency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Inventory Management – Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene – Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining accurate food temperature and cleaning records.
  • Ordering & Stock Control – Work closely with the Notting Hill Head Chef to place food and container orders, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
  • Staff Supervision & Training – Assign tasks, train kitchen staff, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a well-organized and productive team.
  • Equipment Maintenance – Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.
  • Cross-Team Communication – Collaborate with the Notting Hill Head Chef and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and an excellent guest experience.

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in a Kitchen Manager within a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen or Dark Kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Exceptional knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene best practices.
  • Highly organized with excellent inventory management and portion control skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality food execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Passion for Mexican cuisine and a keen eye for food presentation and flavour balance.
