Commissioning Support Officer
Location: Hybrid after training, onsite days will be based at the Civic Centre, Walsall, WS1 1DA.
Working hours: 37 hours per week. Monday – Thursday: 8.45am – 5.15pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch. Friday’s: 8.45am – 4.45pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch.
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend.
Rate of Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE or £18.39 per hour UMBRELLA.
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, Walsall Council, we are seeking someone to work with the Adult Social Care Commissioning Team who has business and project administration skills, experience with IT software as well as good communication skills, positive can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference.
As a member of the Commissioning Team, you will provide comprehensive, efficient and professional administrative support to commissioners, and interface confidently with providers; delivering a suite of activities to ensure the team is fully supported.
Main Activities:
Perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the Adult Social Care Commissioning Team
Provide administrative support to the team and respond to email queries from multiple inboxes
Provide an efficient, customer-focused service by handling data, and communicating necessary information and advice
To support the establishment of relationships with internal stakeholders, providers and organisations
To assist in the delivery of jointly commissioned services across health, and Social care
To support quality assurance tasks to ensure compliance with agreed processes and standards including regulatory and inspection frameworks
Utilize ICT skills, including Excel and professional emailing. You will be required to input data and create basic formulas in Excel
To utilise contract management tools to ensure data and information is timely, accurate and complete
To support the collection and analysis of data
Organise and maintain a number of key provider forums, workshops and events
Attend meetings and take minutes/notes as necessary, formalising notes and minutes into the appropriate format
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Essential experience
Experienced as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Detail orientated
Strong communication skills
Exceptional time management and organisation skills
A conscientious, proactive, and hardworking individual
