Hours of work

36 hours per week on a 3 week rota.

08:00-18:00 / 4 shifts between Monday and Saturday

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Week 3 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Pay & Benefits-

  • £12per hour plus shift allowance of £0.26 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our clients hatchery team at their factory based in Shobdon Herefordshire.

As a Hatchery Operative, working as part of the Hatchery Team, youll help assist the hatchery and play a key role in the daily duties which are fundamental to our entire business.

  • Ensuring chick welfare protocols are adhered to, e.g. vaccinations, health checks.
  • Ensuring chicks are sorted into the required grades and quantities, ready for farm delivery
  • Cleaning all equipment after use to the required high standards
  • Safeguarding bio security and following these strict procedures
  • Observing bird welfare and health and safety on site at all times

What our client is looking for:

  • A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
  • Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
