About the Role:

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you’ll report directly to the Finance Director and play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our accounts department. This full-time position is perfect for self-starters or recent graduates with a passion for numbers and a knack for communication.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Management: Post invoices and handle credit notes/returns with precision.
Reconciliation: Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Communication: Liaise effectively with colleagues and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
Month-End Support: Assist in ledger closures and month-end processes.
Purchase Orders: Manage Purchase Orders and help with supplier setup and maintenance.
Transaction Posting: Accurately post bank and credit card transactions.
Payment Allocation: Ensure timely payment allocations.
Budget Analysis: Analyse budget variations for insightful reporting.
Audit Assistance: Support the audit process with accurate data.
Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide reporting as needed to support the finance team.

What We’re Looking For:

A candidate currently studying for an AAT qualification or a graduate with a 2:1 or higher.
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage your own workload efficiently.
Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to problem-solving!

Key Metrics for Success:

Process 80-100 invoices daily.
Reconcile 200 supplier statements monthly.
Resolve discrepancies within 2 days.
Maintain 95% query resolution within 2 days.
Ensure 100% accuracy of supplier account records.
