CARE ASSISTANT Choice of 2 blocks per day: Morning: 7:30am 2:30pm Evening: 2:30pm 10pm Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK Part-time and Full-time with guaranteed hours. The Role Being a Care Assistant is an essential role supporting older people to live well at home. We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team inBelfast area. As a Care Assistant, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home. With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for. Key Responsibilities: Companionship – ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit Home help – Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework Accompanying to appointments or shopping Personal care – supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent In return we offer the following benefits for the role: Great rates of pay – from £12.80 per hour and enhanced bank holiday rates Minimum 1-hour calls per visit giving you the time to care. Qualifications You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. All we ask is that you have a big heart and want to make a difference in the lives of our clients. Person Specifications You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others. This role requires that the applicant has the right to work in the UK.
