Holt Engineering are working with an Engineering and Manufacturing company based in Weymouth. Looking for a Machine Maintenance Operative to work along side the Machinists.
Salary: £12.50 Per Hour
Job Type: Permanent contract working full time Monday to Friday with Flexible work hours.
Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Labourer with Machine Maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with general labour tasks, operating and maintaining machinery, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Machine Maintenance Operative
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on machinery and equipment
Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with loading and unloading materials and supplies
Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the work area
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment
Identify and report machine malfunctions or maintenance needs
Support skilled workers with various tasks as needed
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
To be a successful Machine Maintenance Operative
Previous experience in a general labour or machine maintenance role (preferred)
Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour tasks
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
Health and safety awareness in an industrial or manufacturing setting
