Full-time, Monday to Friday – Term Time Only
️ Working Hours: 08:30am – 4:00pm
£95-£105 per day (PAYE)

An inclusive and welcoming two form entry primary school in the heart of Islington is looking for a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team immediately. This full-time role will continue into the new academic year and offers a brilliant opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child’s learning journey.
The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant
As a dedicated SEND TA, you will provide 1:1 support for pupils with a range of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, PMLD, and Speech and Language Difficulties. The school is seeking a proactive and patient SEND Teaching Assistant who can confidently support children with tailored interventions and adapt activities to meet their individual needs.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have previous experience working in a school environment and be passionate about supporting children with SEND. As an SEND TA, you will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to implement EHCPs and contribute positively to each child’s development and well-being.
The Ideal SEND TA Will:
Have experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
Be confident providing 1:1 support across a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, PMLD)
Have knowledge of supporting children with speech and language difficulties
Be calm, patient, and resilient in their approach
Be committed to promoting inclusion and removing learning barriers
Show initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role
