Role as an Autism Support Assistant
This position focuses on supporting one student with autism through a consistent 1:1 relationship. You will be central to her daily learning, helping her engage in lessons, regulate emotions, and develop key communication skills with the support of the school’s SENCO and teaching team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Offering 1:1 support during structured lessons and play-based activities
* Building trust and creating a calm, nurturing learning environment
* Encouraging verbal expression and interaction with peers
* Adapting tasks and routines to meet individual learning needs
* Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and families to ensure continuity of care
