About the Role:
A welcoming, supportive primary school in Camden is seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team for an ASAP start. This is a full-time, term-time role supporting literacy development through phonics delivery, small group interventions, and classroom support.

The school is looking for a proactive, organised individual with proven experience working in primary schools, particularly with early reading and phonics groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver small group phonics interventions and early literacy support

Prepare engaging resources and activities to support lesson delivery

Work alongside class teachers to assist with differentiated tasks and classroom management

Support children in developing early reading, writing, and comprehension skills

Track and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO where required

Assist with general classroom duties, displays, and supervision as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience working in a primary school setting

Strong understanding of phonics teaching approaches (Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, or similar desirable)

Confident delivering small group interventions and one-to-one support

Organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning

Available for a full-time, ASAP start
