Location: Wirral
Job Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum, DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Office-Based)
We are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a growing finance team in Wirral.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller or finance professional to join a leading company in the waste management sector. The role is a 12-month maternity cover contract with strong potential to become a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities of the Credit Controller:

Manage customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts

Monitor aged debt reports and follow up on overdue invoices via phone and email
*
Allocate payments accurately and maintain clear, up-to-date records
*
Handle and resolve customer queries and disputes professionally
*
Liaise with internal teams to streamline credit control processes
*
Support the finance team with general administrative tasks
The Ideal Credit Controller Will Have:

Previous experience in a Credit Controller or accounts receivable role
*
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)
*
Experience using Sage 50 or Sage 200 (highly desirable)
