Job Description

You will have knowledge of harbour activities and the confidence to work unsupervised. You will also have good interpersonal skills and be able to undertake solo tasks relating to berthing of small boats.

You will Assist in the management of harbours and marinas, within a defined area, ensuring the safe and efficient operation on behalf of the council and under the powers contained within the Harbours Confirmation Order Act 1987 and associated Harbour Bylaws.

This is a relief contract working on an as and when required basis; this may require flexible, evening and weekend working and will require participation in an all week standby rota.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
