Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Yeovil – and surrounding areas
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

About the Role
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining clean, green spaces? We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to help us care for communal areas across our estates in Yeovil.
You’ll be part of a friendly and motivated team maintaining grass, hedges, shrubs, and landscaped areas, while also helping keep neighbourhoods tidy and hazard-free.
If you’ve worked as a gardener, outdoor labourer, caretaker, grounds worker or landscaper, this could be a great fit for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Mowing grass, cutting hedges, pruning shrubs, and weed control
Litter picking and maintaining external communal areas
Supporting soft landscaping or minor tree work when needed
Using a PDA to log tasks and site visits
Conducting daily maintenance checks on tools and vehicles
Responding to seasonal/reactive work, such as snow or debris clearance
Following Health & Safety and PPE guidelines
Who We’re Looking For
Hands-on experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance
Familiarity with using tools like strimmers, mowers, hedge cutters
Basic digital skills to operate a PDA (training provided)
Full UK Driving Licence (towing category is desirable)
PA1 / PA6AW / NPTC qualifications (desirable but not essential)
A team player with good communication and a strong work ethic
Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weathers
