Location: Nottingham, NG6
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £95 – £105 per day
Class Mate is recruiting a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a welcoming primary school in the NG6 area. This is a long-term role starting in September, ideal for someone who is patient, proactive and committed to helping children thrive.
About the Role:

1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with ASD

Focused on communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement

Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement tailored strategies
*
Supporting sensory needs and using visual aids and structured routines
*
Building a positive, trusting relationship to encourage independence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
Previous experience working with children with ASD
*
A calm, consistent and supportive approach
*
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*
An understanding of EHCPs and individual support plans
*
Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton (desirable but not essential)
