Job Title: Pupil Referral Staff – Teachers & Teaching Assistants

Salary: £90 – £115

Tradewind, a specialist education supply agency, is actively recruiting resilient, compassionate, and committed Teachers and Teaching Assistants to work in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) across Blackburn.
PRUs provide vital support to students who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs. These roles are both challenging and deeply rewarding – ideal for individuals who want to have a lasting impact.
We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent) for core subject and general teaching roles
Experienced Teaching Assistants or Support Staff
Candidates with experience in behaviour support, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), SEND, or youth work
A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
Your Role May Include:
Supporting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
Delivering or assisting with tailored learning programmes
Building positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with education
Managing challenging behaviours with confidence and empathy
Requirements:
Relevant experience in education, SEN, or alternative provisions
A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
