Weekly Pay Rate: £455 – £480
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
Contract: Long-Term with Temp-to-Perm Potential

Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a nurturing junior school in Kings Norton to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team. This long-term role offers the chance of a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role Overview

You’ll be supporting two Year 3 pupils with additional needs by:

Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism, possible ADHD, and communication difficulties.

Engaging a second pupil with SEMH needs using play-based approaches and structured learning breaks.

Working collaboratively with the class teacher to adapt learning and manage the classroom environment.

Leading specific interventions including phonics, Speech & Language activities, and motor skill development tasks.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Have experience delivering 2:1 or small group SEN/SEMH support (e.g. Autism, speech difficulties, emotional needs).

Are confident using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.

Understand the KS1 and KS2 curriculum in mainstream settings.

Hold a relevant TA qualification or related degree.

Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
