Simply Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Brent to recruit a passionate and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) department this September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting, particularly supporting students with additional learning needs. Whether you’re considering a career in teaching, psychology, or social work, this role provides invaluable classroom experience and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support SEND students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups across a range of subjects.
Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to deliver personalised learning interventions.
Encourage student engagement, independence, and progress in the classroom.
Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Provide emotional and academic support tailored to individual student needs.Requirements:

A recent graduate (any discipline considered; psychology and education backgrounds particularly welcomed).
A genuine interest in working with young people with SEND.
Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
